Engineering You
Can Verify.

Every Sanyo ISquare elevator is built on a European component backbone — names you can look up, certifications you can verify, and specifications that stand up to independent scrutiny. No ambiguity in what goes into your shaft.

European Components

The Technology Behind Every Lift

Six European manufacturers. Each selected for measurable quality advantages over regional alternatives. Each supplying verifiable product documentation.

WITTUR

Germany

DE-AIII / DE-AI

Door Systems

DE-AIII and DE-AI automatic door operators. Modular cassette design reduces installation time by 30%. Fire-rated door assemblies tested to 120-minute (EI 120) resistance per EN81-58.

Sicor

Italy

PMSM / VVVF

Gearless Traction Machines

Permanent magnet synchronous motors with VVVF control. Compact, high-efficiency design eliminates machine room requirement. Noise level approximately 55 dB(A) — significantly quieter than geared alternatives.

Pfeifer Drako

Germany

IWRC 8×19

IWRC Suspension Ropes

Independent Wire Rope Core (8×19 construction) provides superior fatigue life and load distribution. Traceable manufacturing certificates provided with every installation.

Monteferro

Italy

T-section

Guide Rails

T-section cold-drawn steel guide rails with precise dimensional tolerances. Reduces vibration and contributes directly to ride quality across the full travel height.

WECO / IRIS

Europe

MCGC / IRIS

Control Systems

Microprocessor-based group control with energy-saving features, floor-by-floor diagnostics, and remote monitoring capability. Supports destination dispatch and access control integration.

Ziehl-Abegg

Germany

VVVF / Regen

Motors & Drives

VVVF drives with regenerative braking — energy recovered during descent is fed back to the building's electrical system, reducing net energy consumption by up to 30%.

Safety Standards

Standards That Cannot Be Compromised

EN81 is not marketing terminology — it is a set of engineering requirements backed by third-party testing and certification. Here is what each standard means in practice.

EN81-20/50

Safety Rules for Elevators

EN81-20 covers safety rules for the construction and installation of lifts. EN81-50 defines examination rules for design principles, calculations, and examinations of lift components. Every Sanyo ISquare elevator is designed and installed to comply fully with both standards.

EN81-58

Fire-Rated Landing Doors

WITTUR fire-rated landing door assemblies are tested to 120-minute fire resistance per EN81-58:2018 (EI 120). This is mandatory under NBC fire codes for high-rise residential and commercial buildings — and is provided as standard on every Sanyo ISquare installation.

STO

Safe Torque Off Technology

STO (Safe Torque Off) removes drive torque safely during an emergency stop without cutting main power to the drive. This enables faster, controlled resumption of service and is a key SIL-rated safety function in modern elevator drives.

ARD

Automatic Rescue Device

The ARD is a battery-powered unit that activates automatically when mains power is lost. It drives the elevator to the nearest floor landing, opens the doors, and keeps them open — eliminating passenger entrapment without any manual rescue operation.

IWRC

Independent Wire Rope Core

Pfeifer Drako's 8×19 IWRC rope construction provides superior fatigue resistance and more even load distribution compared to fibre-core ropes. Manufacturing traceability certificates are provided with every installation — a verifiable quality chain from factory to shaft.
